International Early Start
At Indiana Tech, we are committed to offering high school students valuable opportunities to experience college-level learning. Students can earn college credits that align with their chosen degree path while potentially earning credits toward their high school diploma.
Program Highlights
- Earn up to 18 credit hours and reduce the time it will take to complete a college degree.
- Take classes online on a 16-week traditional semester schedule.
- Save thousands on tuition and living expenses in the U.S. while getting a head start on your college journey.
- Earn a $1,000 renewable scholarship for four years if you choose to attend Indiana Tech after high school.
- Utilize online student services like free tutoring, writing assistance, access to virtual library databases and more.
- Never pay for textbooks, which are included in the price of each course.
Typical Online Courses
International Early Start students may take pre-approved 16-week online courses for which they meet the prerequisites. Please note that online course offerings are limited and vary each semester. The following list is subject to change.
- ENG 1252 Argumentative Writing
- ENG 2322 Research Writing
- COMM 1400 Public Communications
- PSY 1700 Intro to Psychology
- PSY 1750 Human Growth and Development
- SS 2720 Group Dynamics
- SS 2800 Introduction to Sociology
Eligible Students
Open to all students in their final two years of high school, including homeschooled students.
To be eligible, you must be at a current high school level. A GPA of at least 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale) is preferred. However, students with GPAs between 2.0 and 2.49 will be considered with recommendation from a high school counselor.
Significant Savings for Students
Cost is always a consideration with higher education, dual enrollment is no different. However, our Early Start program has a significant advantage at offering educational opportunities at a fraction of the cost.
