Scam calls using Indiana Tech staff names

There have been scam calls pretending to be USCIS, ICE, Homeland Security, police, etc. Now we have been notified of a new type of scam calls impersonating an Indiana Tech staff member. The scammer called one of our international students and asked them to complete a form saying it is required by the Trump administration. They may ask you to pay a fee in order to get money from you. If you receive a scam call like this, please hang up immediately and report it to us. Please do not share any of your personal information.

It is truly sad that scammers target international students during this uncertain time. Please be aware that we will never ask you to fill out a form via phone. All forms that need to be completed are available on our Indiana Tech website. If you need to complete a form, we will let you know via email and give you the link to a form on our website.
